A breach notice is formal and will result in a letter is being issued.
(From tenancy service) The Act sets out the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants. When someone doesn’t follow the rules, it’s a breach of the Act. Someone can breach the Act by:
- Not doing what they’re supposed to do.
- Doing something they’re not allowed to do.
- Adding unenforceable clauses to the tenancy agreement.
- Click on Tenancies under Housing to view all current Tenancies.
- Search or find the Tenancy you wish to convert a breach for.
- Click the CASES tab from the top menu.
- In the All Cases table, double click to open the case you wish to convert to a breach.
- At the top, select Create Breach.
