How to record a new case

A case is used to document the pre-discussions before something relating to a tenancy turns into a breach. This guidance will show you how to record a case in Zavanti.

  1. Click on Tenancies under Housing to view all current Tenancies.
  2. Search for the Tenancy you wish to record a new case for.
  3. Click the CASES tab from the top menu.


  4. Click on + New Case.


  5. Choose the category from the dropdown.


  6. Choose the subject from the dropdown, using the tick boxes.
    Note: multiple can be selected.


  7. Depending on the subject you choose will determine what fields appear that you need to complete.
  8. Complete the additional fields that appear:
    • Add a 'Case Title'.
    • Add a 'Reported on' Date.
    • Add a 'Reported by'.
    • If the person reporting this issue would like to remain anonymous then tick the box.
    • Add the 'Origin'.
    • Add the 'Severity' of this case.
    • Navigate options for if this is a formal complaint.
  9. Press Save on the record.
