How to complete a refund request via the refund tab in Zavanti

  1. Click on the Tenancies subheading under Housing to view all current tenancies.
  2. Double-click the tenancy with an active credit.
  3. Review current tenancy transactions and charges in the RENT & BALANCES tab.
  4. Identify the amount in credit by reviewing the right-hand tables on the Rent & Balances screen. 

    Note: Remember to check the reason behind someone's credit and resolve with the tenant if needed (e.g. paying too much rent, payment plan has ended but funds are still coming in etc.)

  5. Go to the REFUNDS/ADJUSTMENTS tab.  
  6. Click + New Rent Refund/Adjustment in the first table.
  7. To ensure that the request is for a refund, click on the down arrow under the title and select the refund option.                                                                                                                                  Note: If you have changed the selection, a pop-up will appear.


  8. Enter: Date requested, Amount, Reason, Comments

  9. On the right-hand side, fill in the primary tenant consent (this is a yes or no dropdown).
  10. Select ‘Send for approval’.
  11. Save & Close

Navigate back to the Refunds & Adjustments tab to view your refund request in the first table and the current status of your request.
