How to manage tenant debt and arrears

Tenant debt includes rent arrears and any other monies that clients are liable to pay LinkPeople back for, e.g. damages, cleaning charges and so on.

LinkPeople will have already paid these invoices, so we are reclaiming costs back from clients, either as a lump sum or weekly payments of at least $20 ideally.

Clients can pay either manually or via AP or Work and Income Redirection and must pay into the same bank account as their rent. You can check the balances of these in Zavanti.

  1. Click on Tenancies under Housing  to view all the current tenancies.


  2. Double-click the tenancy with an active arrears.
  3. Navigate to the TRANSACTIONS tab at the top.     
    Note: Transactions displayed in the first table are dependent on the selected tenant's transactions and debt history.
