What does the report do?
This report compares people's status for various trainings with the trainings they are expected to complete. It's designed to answer the question "who hasn't done training A?".
This report does not show all training - for that see the 'Full Training Record' report.
It does show training that hasn't yet been assigned, as well as training that is in progress and completed.
You can filter to find lists of people who still need to complete training, and export that detail.
How do I use it?
The filtered data (people and trainings) is shown in the summary chart and listed in detail in the data grid at the bottom.
You can apply filters by:
- Selecting a status from the status totals (you can only select one at a time).
- Selecting one or more* trainings from the summary chart by clicking the training name. E.g. select a few trainings and see peoples' completion.
- Selecting one/many status/colours of the summary chart. E.g. clicking the red area of 'fire safety policy' will show the people who haven't been assigned 'fire safety policy'.
- Selecting one or more filters from the filters area on the right.
* Ctrl=click will multi select/unselect. If you're not confident with filtering there's resources for you on the Basics of Power BI dashboards Wise Up! article.
Once you have filtered to see what you want you can see the detail in the data grid, and export that data.
What do the training statuses mean?
None. This person has not yet been assigned/enrolled in the training.
Registered. This person has been assigned/enrolled in the training but has not started it or recorded any progress.
Started. This person has been assigned/enrolled in the training and has started it.
Complete (TBC). This person has completed the training, and it's waiting on a manager or admin to confirm that completion.
Complete. This person has completed the training.
Where does the data come from?
This data comes from Cornerstone, refreshed once per day.
What data is included?
Data from the training record of employees that are currently employed. By default this is everyone in your reporting line (in Cornerstone). See below if you want more access.
Excluded is:
- Trainings that aren't on the list of those expected to be completed for your entity.
- People who have left.
- New starters (until the day after their first day).
- People that don't report up to you (unless you have been given special access).
- Some training done before mid-2019 (although this should only be for non-core/optional training courses).
How do I correct mistakes and make changes?
For anything to do with training assignments, completions etc contact the Workforce Development team in your entity. If WMS looks after the training for your entity that's learning@wisegroup.co.nz.
If you're seeing the wrong people (incorrect manager, team, or cost centre data) then see How to fix people with the wrong team, cost centre, or manager. Hint: this usually needs a Variation to Employment Agreement.
If you are seeing people who have left then make sure that you have completed a Leaving form.
Anything else - email cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz or use the Cornerstone support request eForm.
Who gets access?
All managers (employees who have a current staff member reporting to them) should automatically get access to the report, and their reporting line.
If you need to check why someone doesn't have access then contact helpdesk@wisegroup.co.nz.
To request access request access for a non-manager or to add additional cost centres or teams raise a Data access request.
