There are times when it is handy to turn on call diverting, such as when you are on leave and need your calls to go to the person covering you. This guide will cover how to turn on/off call forwarding on your phone.
Setting up call forwarding
- Tap on the phone icon
- Tap keypad (Samsung Galaxy core only)
- Tap the three dots then select Settings.
- Tap Calling accounts (You may need to click on the mobile provider)
- Tap Call forwarding
- Tap Voice call (Samsung Galaxy core only)
Select the divert type
There are 4 types of call forwarding you can set up and each has a specific purpose.
They are outlined below:
- Always forward (no calls come to you)
- Forward when busy (forwards when you are on another call, for example)
- Forward when unanswered (calls go to mobile but only forward if you don't answer)
- Forward when unreachable (forwards calls when you have no cell phone reception, for example)
- Tap on the option you would like to set up
- Type in the number to forward to
- Tap Enable
- Tap on the home key to return to the home screen
Turning off call forwarding
- Tap on the phone icon
- Tap keypad (Samsung Galaxy core only)
- Tap the three dots then select Settings.
- Tap Calling accounts (You may need to click on the mobile provider)
- Tap Call forwarding
- Tap Voice call (Samsung Galaxy core only)
Select the divert type
- Tap on the option you would like to turn off
- Tap on Disable
- Tap on the home key to return to the home screen
