Using the report
View the balances of kaimahi. You can sort and filter as usual.
Note: Annual leave is in hours, and other leave is in days.
To view the detail of a kaimahi, select them on the bottom list, and click the 'see details' button.
Detailed leave view
This page shows the detail of balances, future approved leave requests, past leave taken (in the last year approx).
Hit the back arrow (top left) to get back to the main report.
The chart is an approximate projection** of the kaimahi's annual leave over the next six months. The chart will rise steadily as leave is accrued, then drop at each approved annual leave request.
** This projection does not take into account changes like:
- approved leave after six months.
- future changes to FTE (like going part-time).
- reaching sixth anniversary.
- future extended leave where they would stop accruing (like parental leave).
- Christmas/new year leave that hasn't been applied for.
... so take known changes like that into account.
Entitled annual leave.
Permanent kaimahi have hours added to their annual leave balance at each pay. Then at each anniversary (of their start date) the kaimahi become ‘entitled’ to that leave. I.e. all of their annual leave balance is recorded as ‘entitled annual leave’.
Leaders should encourage kaimahi to have a plan in place to use any ‘entitled’ annual leave by their next anniversary date.
Leaders should not be requesting kaimahi to use leave that they are not yet entitled to.
Direct reports vs full reporting chain
This report shows all the staff in your reporting chain. e.g. an SRM would see not just the Team Coaches that report to them, but also the Support Workers who report to those Team Coaches.
Use the 'My Full Reporting Line' and 'My Direct Reports' buttons to switch between.
Where does the data come from?
Complex answer! This is Cornerstone and DataPay data - plus EmpLive data for Pathways and Real. Cornerstone data is refreshed once per day, DataPay data is refreshed at each pay run. EmpLive data is refreshed daily.
The information from DataPay data is:
- Leave balances.
- Future leave requests (except for Pathways and Real).
The information from EmpLive data is future leave requests for Pathways and Real.
What kaimahi are included?
Data from the employee records and payroll records of current employees that have received their first pay.
What data is excluded?
- People who have left.
- New starters (until the day after their first pay).
- People that don't report up to you (unless you have been given additional access).
How do I correct mistakes and make changes?
If you want to query leave balances then contact PayrollTeam@wisegroup.co.nz.
If you're seeing the wrong people (incorrect manager, or cost centre data) then see How to fix people with the wrong team, cost centre, or manager.
If you are seeing people who have left then make sure that you have completed a Leaving form.
Anything else - email cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz or use the Cornerstone support request eForm.
Who gets access?
All managers (employees who have a current staff member reporting to them) should automatically get access to the report, and their reporting line.
If you need to check why someone doesn't have access then contact helpdesk@wisegroup.co.nz.
People can be granted access to see more. To request access request access for a non-manager or to add additional cost centres or teams raise a Data access request.
