Sync, Follow, Drag and Drop

   Let’s get quicker!  Do you remember from training that you can synchronise your Group’s document library?  This means you can get to your documents from the file explorer window.  It’s also a handy way to get to and save documents.  Forgot how?  Here’s a WiseUp! article on Syncing.

But please….no syncing on the mini’s!

Are you following me?

  Following your Group’s site is an important feature for news and saving documents.  For example, if  you’re following the Group you’ll be able to save from Word directly to the document library.  The Group document library will also show in your online OneDrive folder.  Have a gander at this WiseUp! article on following sites.

Drag and drop

  Did you know you can drag and drop files onto the Group Document library screen?  It can help save a step or two.  Note, Google is fixing the issue with dragging email attachments from Outlook and dropping them into the Group’s library if you’re using the Chrome browser.  It does work in Microsoft’s Edge browser, and will soon work as intended in Chrome.
