All staff can add their own Qualification in Cornerstone. But if you need to do it on behalf of someone who reports to you, here's how.
1. Be prepared
When you complete the form you must know the exact Qualification and Tertiary Provider names, and the actual (or expected) graduation date.
Plus you will need to attach a scan/download of the enrolment evidence or graduation certificate (PDF, Word or image).
2. Open the employee's record
To start, open the employee's record. There's a few ways to get there - here is one:
Go to the Cornerstone main page, and in the ‘Manager Tools’ section choose the ‘My Team’ option.
Scroll down or click on the 'My Team' button, then select the employee you are adding a qualification for.
You will then be viewing their record.
3. Open the Add Qualification form
Click on the three dots next to View team, and select 'Complete form'.
Then select the 'Add Qualification' form
4. Complete the relevant form
Select the relevant form (either in progress or completed). The form will populate with that employee's details. Complete the form, being careful to enter the Qualification name, Tertiary Provider accurately.
If the qualification is in progress use the add In Progress Qualification form:
- Enter the date they expect to graduate as the graduation date.
- Attach proof of enrolment (PDF, Word or image).
If they have graduated use the add Completed Qualification form:
- Enter the graduation date from their certificate.
- Attach a scan of their graduation certificate (PDF, Word or image).
If they have completed but not graduated use the add Completed Qualification form:
- Attach a letter from the tertiary provider confirming that they have attained the qualification on a specific date plus a copy of their transcript.
- Enter the date from the letter as completion date.
