Start a requisition in Cornerstone

To start a requisition for a role you are hiring for, you can follow this help guide, if you prefer, there is an 8-minute video at the bottom of this page and a PDF guide attached. 

Log into Cornerstone, go to Hiring/Recruitment and click on Hiring Dashboard.

Alternatively, you can access this from the top right-hand menu in Cornerstone by clicking on Recruit -> Hiring Dashboard. 

At the bottom of the Hiring Dashboard, you will see a section for Requisitions where you can click on New Requisition Request.

Fill out the relevant details on the form, for text boxes with a square next to them this will allow you to open a pop up to select your answer. 

Note: If your option is not available on the list, please contact your recruitment advisor. 

If it is a completely new role, there is an approval process to get the role added into cornerstone. 

Job title The formal role that you are recruiting for and have approval for.
Requisition template 

Open the box and select the role template, if there are no templates showing select the default template.

There are currently requisition templates for: 

- Team coach - Pathways  
- Support worker - Pathways 
- Casual support worker - Pathways 
- Housing case worker - LinkPeople 
- Employment Consultant – Kairapu tūranga mahi - Workwise

Display job title  How you would like the job title to display in the advertisement – for example it may be a project manager for a specific project.
Team Search for the team that they will be joining.
Location Their physical location that they will work from, you can add any additional locations after this.   
Note: Location is not visible in the advertisement.
Pay scale Select the pay scale that they will be in, if you are unsure, please check with your recruitment advisor.
Cost centre What budget the employee will be paid from and where the advertisement costs will be charged to.
Employment type For example, Fixed term, permanent, casual, contractor
Compensation Hourly or full-time employee salary
Range The pay range that is offered, this is used for advertising, e.g., job board posting ranges.

Authority Confirm that you have the delegated authority and budget approval to recruit to this role and salary.
Brand What entity will they be added to, this will be your entity. 
Advertising Start Date When would you like to start advertising for the role?
Advertising Closing Date When would you like the advertisement to close. 
Work Hours What will be the employees standard work hours.
Skills, experience and/or qualification desired for role Are there any additional skills, experience or qualifications that you are desirable for this role.  
Details about the service and/or role Explain about the service the candidate will be joining and what the role entails. 
Is this request to replace an existing role? * If this is to replace a current role in the business, if yes, complete the following section. 
Where would you like to advertise?
What job board or site would you like to advertise to, if more than one select multiple sites. This will include the costs of each advertisement in the dropdown.

If you have selected multiple sites, please list them here.

Description  What is the description of the role, this will help the recruitment advisor to create your job ad. The Internal and External tabs allow you to tailor your description to suit internal applicants who are familiar with your organization, or external applicants who may require more information.
Qualifications You can type in the Minimum Qualifications for this position, but the Ideal attributes are pulled in using the Criteria widget. Available Criteria were created and associated with the Position OU when the position was created. If resume parsing is enabled in your portal, the system will automatically pull data from the applicant’s resume and compare it to the system defined attributes associated with the position.

Always add your manager as a reviewer in this process to give them access and assist in the hiring process.

If there are any supporting documents or job descriptions you want to add, here is the section to add these.  

Openings How many openings is there for this position. 
Target hire date When you would like to ideally have someone hired. 

 

You can then select, Submit request; this will alert your recruitment advisor who will create the job ad for you to review (please allow up to 2 working days). 

Once this is ready you will be able to review and accept the requisition.
