This guide will show you how to use Two factor Authentication Phone number or security questions methods.
Security is a top priority at Wise Group, especially when handling sensitive personal information. To help protect our systems and your account, we use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) an extra layer of security that ensures only you can access or reset your password.
This guide walks you through a one-time setup process to secure your work account using MFA. You’ll choose either an authenticator app, mobile phone number or security questions as your second authentication method.
Our preferred method is to use the Authenticator app: To set up your Multifactor authentication using an authenticator app follow the steps in our guide.
If you already have a phone number set up for multi factor authentication but would like to change it you can follow our guide on how to change you number in multifactor authentication.
When you try to get to The Well, or another WiseGroup site that normally needs secure access, you will see a More Information required screen. Press Next to begin the setup process.
You'll be prompted to sign in, to make sure it's you.
Mobile Phone Two Factor Authentication
For setting up a mobile phone, remember to change the country to New Zealand and enter your phone number 02x-xxx-xxx. Keep the option of "text me a code" and then press Next
Your phone will get a text message with a 6 digit code. Type in the code that was sent to your phone into the box on the computer and press Next.
As long as you typed in the code correctly, you will get a success screen. Press Next.
Choose Done to finish the setup. You have successfully set up your account with a mobile phone number as a second factor to identify it is really you when you request to change your password.
Security Questions Two Factor Authentication
By default the system prompts to setup a mobile phone number. To set up security questions instead, click on "I want to set up a different method".
From the drop down box, choose Security questions.
You will be prompted to select from the drop down boxes a list of questions. Choose a question, and then fill in the box with the answers. REMEMBER your answers, and check your spelling. You will have to type in these answers exactly in order to confirm it's really you when you need to reset your password. When you have chosen all five questions and entered your answers, click Done. You will have successfully setup security questions as your second factor authentication.
