What does the report do?
This report shows you the people within the claim group and their pay equity information.
Where does the data come from?
This is Cornerstone data, refreshed daily.
How do I correct mistakes and make changes?
- People with incorrect/missing qualifications should add that information to Cornerstone via a form, which the manager approves. See Add a qualification you have started or completed.
- If there is anyone missing from this report which you believe should be showing, check that their position is included in the claim group.
If you think the information is wrong, contact cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz.
If you're seeing people who shouldn't be there (incorrect manager, team, or cost centre data) then see How to fix people with the wrong team, cost centre, or manager.
Hint: this usually needs a Variation to Employment Agreement.
Anything else - email cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz or use the Cornerstone support request eForm.
What data is included?
Each POSITION in Cornerstone has a CLAIM GROUP and CLAIM CATEGORY attached to it. These have been attributed to each position by People & Culture GM based on the type of work done in that role or the associated field of work.
EMPLOYEE record & CV data is used for gathering the employee specific details

To request access request access for a non-manager or to add additional cost centres or teams raise a Data access request.
Logic checks
-
If Claim Group = Relevant pay group
-
Experience Start Date: Key driver, if this field is blank no calculations are done
-
On Hold Months: Captured in the Experience section of the CV
-
Years Experience calculated: Today less “experience start date” less Experience on hold months, shown as a portion of the year.
-
Anniversary: Exact date in the following year. Anniversaries on a leap year are taken into account.
-
Step: calculated using the Claim Group and Claim Type fields, the logic determines what step they should be on based on their Experience Start Date. Step Changes are based on one year and 1day
Category 3 example: Experience started at 15/10/2021 which is now the “Anniversary”
Step 1: 15/10/2021 – 15/10/2022
Step 2: 16/10/2022 – 15/10/2023
Step 3: 16/10/2023 – 15/10/2024
Step 4: 16/10/2024 – 15/10/2025
Step 5: 16/10/2025 – 15/10/2026
Capped – no further step moves
