To create a poll in a Microsoft Teams chat or channel, click on the ellipses (three dots) to open the more field, and select Forms. If Forms isn't listed, you can type Forms in the Find an app search field.
A blank Forms poll will be created.
Enter the Question and answers in Option 1 and Option 2. More answers can be added by clicking the + Add option field.
You can choose to allow respondents to choose more than one option by toggling the Multiple answers field.
Choose whether to share the results automatically with a respondent after they choose their options and submit. You can also choose whether to keep responses anonymous.
Click the Save button when you are satisfied with the options and settings. This will launch the Poll.
Once a respondent chooses an option and presses the Submit Vote button, they will be able to see updated results.
NOTE: Even if a poll was created not to be anonymous, only the Poll creator can see the individual responses using Microsoft Forms and exporting to Excel. Click here for instructions on how to view individual responses.
