This guide will show you how to turn on Speaker Coach for Teams meetings.
What is Speaker Coach?
Speaker Coach is a feature that provides private, personalised feedback on your speaking and presentation skills during meetings and events.
It will provide you with insights and suggestions based on your speaking patterns for:
- Repetitive language - Highlights words you have repeated and how many times
- Filler words - Let's you know what filler words you have been using
- Pace - How fast you were talking
- Inclusiveness - Picks up on if you were using any non-inclusive language
- Intonation - Do you vary your pitch when talking to keep people engaged?
- Monologue - Do you pause to allow others to speak?
To turn on/off this feature
- You need to be in a Teams meeting to turn on this feature.
- Select More actions
in your meeting controls.
- Select Language and speech > Turn on Speaker Coach.
- Speak as you normally would to get insights.
Once the meeting is over you will get a report of the meeting.
Note: To turn off Speaker Coach, select More actions > Language and speech > Turn off Speaker Coach in your meeting controls.
To turn this on for all future meetings
Once you have used Speaker Coach and received a report, there is an option on the report to tun this on for all meetings.
