When you attach files for sharing in Microsoft Teams, they are stored either in your group's Sharepoint site or in your OneDrive.
Files that are added in a Teams Channel are stored in that Group's Sharepoint site. Anyone who is a member of that group will have access to the document.
Files that are added in a Teams Chat and Teams Meetings are stored in the sharer's OneDrive folder.
People included in the chat or meeting will have access to the file. This can be managed by reviewing the file's permissions in your OneDrive.
Remember you can control who has access to files in your OneDrive.
