Cornerstone data is used in lots of systems and dashboards. Whereabouts people show in those systems usually comes down to their:
- Manager
- Cost centre code
- Team
- Working status (recruiting, onboarding, working or terminated)
And since you're here reading this, it must be wrong. So how do you fix it?
To start with you can look at who is in your team and what Cornerstone thinks their team and cost centre is.
Changes that can be done without a Contract Variation
Some changes can be done without a Variation to Employment Contract. Just email cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz or use the Cornerstone support request eForm. Those changes are:
- Change of Team (i.e. from Firth Street to Grey Street).
- Equivalent manager changes
- A temporary manager (e.g. whilst a new manager is recruited).
- A different manager with the same job title (e.g. from one Team Coach to another).
- A manager who has just started, with the same job title as their previous manager.
Changes that need a Contract Variation
Bigger changes require a Contract Variation. Use the Variation to Employment Agreement request eForm that can be found on The Well eForms Hub.
They are:
- Change of job title (a.k.a. position).
- Change of manager to a manager with a different job title.
- Change of cost centre.
- Changes to team/manager that are part of a bigger change like change of ...
- Role.
- Hours, or working day pattern.
- Tenure (to/from fixed-term, casual, permanent).
- Salary/pay rate.
- Start date (yes, that does happen).
- Fixed-term end date.
- Location (town or city).
Mostly, these changes won't be actioned in Cornerstone until the signed Variation is returned to the Employment Contracts team. So plan ahead, act fast.
People who have left
Leavers should disappear from dashboards, The Well, Outlook lists etc within 48 hours of their last day at work.
If you're seeing people who have left Wise then it may be because no Leaving form was entered. If in doubt we'll check it out - email cornerstone@wisegroup.co.nz or use the Cornerstone support request eForm.
Unless you're just seeing them on the street, then maybe it's because they live or work nearby.
New starters
New starters should be visible in Outlook before they start, and visible in Cornerstone, The Well, dashboards within 24 hours of starting.
They need to have accepted their Offer of Employment, and have a correct start date.
