Once the training has been undertaken, you will receive a request to approve the ‘completion’ of this training, and for some items, sight the evidence of this also.
When the employee has completed the training, they need to do two things:
- Click ‘notify observer’ on the training item in Cornerstone, which sends an email to you to let you know they are wanting you to sign off on this.
- Email you through the evidence of their completion (i.e. a certificate, completed and signed form, other evidence) to upload for them.
The link in the email will take you straight to the ‘On the Job training – Observers page. You can also find this page under ‘Learn’ on the right hand side menu.
You will see on this page, the full list of trainings to be marked as complete.
Click on ‘Record status’, and this will take you to a page where you will be asked to enter the following details:
- Date completed/observed (this can be backdated),
- Whether they have completed or failed the training
- Add any comments you wish,
- and upload the completed form/evidence of training (if applicable) – you can drag and drop into this box, or browse for the file in your computer.
Click ‘Record’ and this will mark the training as complete for the employee, with the evidence attached.
