New Meeting Experience in Teams

Microsoft Teams have launched a new meeting experience that gives options for the view in Teams Meetings. Together Mode groups users into an auditorium view setting, and Large Gallery mode allows up to 49 participant cameras to be viewed.  The new meeting experience also allows the meeting to be opened in its own window, allowing the meeting to be viewed on one screen and the ability to use the rest of Teams in another.

The new meeting experience is an option that can be enabled in the Teams app settings. Follow these steps to enable the new meeting experiences.

In Teams, click on your profile picture and go to Settings

Click on the General Tab and tick the box for Turn on new meeting experiences.

The new meeting experiences will be available in your next Teams meeting.  To use these options, during a meeting click on the ellipses (three dots) in the Meeting taskbar.

Here, you can choose the view to be Gallery, Large Gallery, or Together Mode.
